What’s New in Mastercam 2021: Design Enhancements (Part 2)
Mastercam 2021 includes many enhancements to help you streamline your manufacturing process, from job setup to job completion. Our series of What’s New videos is available for you to check out these improvements for yourself. Now, let’s take a look at two more videos demonstrating Mastercam 2021 Design Enhancements to improve the ease and functionality of your CAD for CAM process.
Some of the general design enhancements in Mastercam 2021 include the ability to select multiple faces to change the color of a set of solid faces; preselection is now supported on the Model Prep tab for the Clear all function; and Mastercam now applies the result color to entities you modify with the following functions: Simplify Spline, Break at Intersection, Break Circle, Close Arc, and Spline – Convert to NURBS.
Note is the preferred method of creating text for notes, labels, and toolpath geometry. In Mastercam 2021, Note’s redesigned function panel gives you improved usability, more options, and increased control. For more information on the latest enhancements to Mastercam, visit whatsnew.mastercam.com.
