Meet Our Summer Interns- Part 3 of 3
In this third and final installment of our blog series introducing fifteen summer interns, CNC Software, Inc. is pleased to welcome another five talented students to the Mastercam community. They will be working in software and applications engineering internships around the globe. Please take a few minutes to get to know these remarkable interns!
Matthew Kramer, Software Engineering Intern
Matthew is majoring in mechanical engineering at the University of Connecticut. Factors that influenced his degree selection include his interest in finding problems within systems and figuring out ways to fix them.
Matthew enjoys messing around with devices and systems to understand how they work. He envisions a career where he can continue learning and exploring different subjects for as long as possible.
“I want to gain a better understanding of what it’s like to work in a professional software development environment.”
Kenny Zheng, Software Engineering Intern
Kenny is majoring in computer science at the University of California at Los Angeles. An introductory course as a freshman attracted him to the field. “Just having the ability to sort of create what hadn’t existed before with some lines of code was just amazing to me!”
He is considering a career as a software engineer and working in the gaming industry but isn’t sure just yet.
Kenny’s goals as an intern with CNC Software, Inc. are “to learn about what it’s like in the daily life of a software engineer, pick up new technologies useful to software engineering, and make meaningful contributions to the company!”
Shi-Bin Chen, Applications Engineering Intern
Shi-Bin is majoring in applied science and technology at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). He will spend this summer learning more about Mastercam while gaining experience in the field of applications engineering at company headquarters in Tolland, CT.
Shi-Bin looks forward to working closely with applications engineers on a variety of CNC machining projects using Mastercam.
Yamuna Rajan, Software Engineering Intern
Yamuna is majoring in computer science and engineering at the University of Connecticut. She was attracted by the challenging nature of programming and the idea of creating new things. She hopes to work in the field of machine learning.
Her goals as an intern with CNC Software, Inc. include “learning new things and experiencing life in the industry. I also hope to develop and improve my professional skill sets.”
Jessica Nyfeler, Software Engineering
Jessica is majoring in computer science at the Division Technique du CEJEF (DIVTEC), a vocational and technical college in Switzerland. As part of her fourth year of study, she will participate in a summer internship at our Swiss office.
Jessica will gain real-world experience working on Mastercam software with a team of experienced engineering professionals.
