Meet Our Summer Interns – Part 2 of 3
We are delighted to welcome five interns to our facilities department at our headquarters in Tolland, Connecticut. We are looking forward to getting to know each of them better as they do their part to learn from, contribute to, and support the Mastercam community—here and all around the world. Please take a few minutes to get to know these dynamic summer interns!
Megan Eaton, Facilities Intern
Megan is currently a student at Stafford High School in Connecticut. She joins CNC Software, Inc. as a facilities intern this summer, where she will gain varied experience helping out with the day-to-day operations in support of employees and production at our corporate campus.
Justin Ames, Facilities Intern
Justin is majoring in secondary education and history at Western Connecticut State University with a minor in history. He plans to become a full-time teacher as well as a strength and conditioning coach. Justin is interested in learning more about Mastercam to diversify his ability to teach kids in his future career.
“My goal is to learn as much as possible and use these experiences later on in life. I have always wanted to make a difference in the community and make an impact on kids’ lives. I think it will be interesting to teach my students a very interesting and important subject.”
Maribeth Falusi, Facilities Intern
Maribeth is majoring in accounting at the University of New Haven in Connecticut. She will be assisting this summer at CNC Software, Inc. as an intern with the facilities department.
Austin Bertrand, Facilities Intern
Austin is majoring in finance and applied analytics at Bryant University in Rhode Island. He plans to begin his career as a stock broker, move on to become a financial advisor or wealth manager, and eventually open his own firm. His goal as an intern with CNC Software, Inc. is to gain knowledge and experience in the software and manufacturing industries.
Talking about factors influencing his decision to pursue finance and applied analytics, Austin appreciates “the idea that you have flexibility to go into most positions in the business world. You aren’t locked in to a certain position or role.”
Dan Harris, Facilities Intern
Dan is about to begin his studies at the University of Hartford in Connecticut as an undecided major. He’ll have great opportunities to consider his options interning with facilities and helping out with daily operations. His dream profession is to work at ESPN.
Dan is looking forward to earning some money and gaining professional experience as an intern this summer. He really enjoys the family-style campus at corporate headquarters.
“I enjoy being able to use the gym during breaks, and I like having access to the kitchen during work.”
Thank you to all of these students for sharing their time and talents with us. We will introduce you to the rest of our interns and tell you a little about them in another blog post coming soon. Stay tuned!
