Mastercam Reseller Profile – Q&A with InterCAM-Deutschland (Part 2)
This is part two of a Reseller Q&A with InterCAM-Deutschland. To read the first installment of this conversation click here.
What’s the latest or most exciting customer application you have?
The most exciting customer application we have is with Stangl & Co. GmbH Präzisionstechnik. They produce a sports car milled with Mastercam. Roding Automobile GmbH is a part of Stangl & Co., and it’s an exceptional company known for construction and stability.
As an experienced service provider, they double up with regular manufacturing and engineering prototypes for future-oriented concepts with lightweight carbon structures. Among them is the Roding Roadster, a sports car. Stangl & Co. manufactures parts for the Roding Roadster, and being highly precise is elemental. Some of these parts are, for example, the wishbone and the wheel carrier. Both are milled with Mastercam. I think this is a really cool project. We actually made a video about it – the project and the sports car. You can find it on YouTube.
What’s your favorite feature in Mastercam?
I did ask our technical support department, because they know better than me. They like the 2D Dynamic Milling feature, Model Prep, and the Dynamic transform feature.
What are you looking forward to?
We are proud that the 250,000th installation of Mastercam happened in Germany, and we’re looking forward to the next big number. We’re also excited about Mastercam 2019. Our technical support department is looking forward to innovations for the Verify function, revised versions of FBM Mill and FBM Drill, and simplifications to the 5-axis dialogues.
