Mastercam and Manufacturing Day

Events like Manufacturing Day provide a chance for businesses to introduce the next generation of manufacturers to career opportunities and demonstrate the benefits of manufacturing to our local communities.

On Friday, October 5th, the Mastercam Manufacturing Day event at CNC Software headquarters was a huge success! We welcomed busloads of students and several professionals from the surrounding community. It was a lot of fun to present our company, Mastercam, and some of the many careers and benefits tied to the manufacturing industry.

Special thanks to the UConn Formula SAE team for bringing their car to display and presenting to our guests about FSAE. Everyone—from CNC Software employees to visiting teachers and students—was thrilled to see the car and have the chance to speak with these talented students.

Several schools attended our Manufacturing Day event, including Pathfinder Tech from Massachusetts. Schools from Connecticut included Asnuntuck Community College, Hartford Job Corps Academy, Nathan Hale-Ray High School, Rockville High School, and Tolland High School.

Guests enjoyed a tour of our building, a presentation about Mastercam, and a visit to our Manufacturing Lab to see CAM in action. We also provided a pizza lunch and hosted a student scavenger hunt to generate some excitement throughout the day.

The winner of our Manufacturing Day Scavenger Hunt was Asnuntuck Community College. This group will receive an assortment of Mastercam merchandise for their participation.
