Join the Race to IMTS 2018 and WIN
The Race to IMTS 2018 is underway! In partnership with Mastercam, WIDIA is hosting Innovations in Machining Strategies, Programming Techniques, and Tooling Selection, a productivity improvement training to be held in 12 locations this summer in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
These sessions will be held at professional go-cart racing facilities, where attendees can learn about practical advances in manufacturing efficiency—and race their way to win a free trip to IMTS 2018 in Chicago. The winner from each of these events will then be eligible to compete in one last race during IMTS on Wednesday, September 12, to earn bragging rights as the “fastest machinist.”
Speed and efficiency are the focus of the training sessions, where attendees will learn how to combine three essential elements of machining for improved productivity:
1. Tool Selection – How to select the proper tool and identify when a tool is performing properly.
2. Toolpath Performance – The evolution of efficient material removal, moving from traditional machining to modern, radial chip thinning, dynamic motion, and high speed machining techniques.
3. Machine Capability – Why buy a new machine? How adopting newer tooling technology and machining techniques may enable your shop to get more out of existing equipment.
Another way to win a trip to IMTS for you and one guest is to register for one of the following on-site productivity improvement sessions before July 31, 2018. Two lucky winners will be announced August 1, 2018. Sign up today and register for your chance to win!
