Innovator of the Future 2013 Winner Announced

The Innovator of the Future competition challenges students and young adults to design and machine a wide variety of interesting parts. This year’s IOF competition gave students the chance to design and machine a connecting rod, racing wheel, or short shifter and the part was then judged by the owner of VAC Motorsports, the world’s leading source for BMW high performance parts.

We received so many amazing parts this year and were so impressed with the turnout. A lot of time and effort was put into making these parts. Here’s is a shot of some of the top finalist parts.

And the winner is . . . . Jacob Ringwald!

Jacob submitted this short shifter designed like a baseball which VAC Motorsports thought was a difficult part to execute, showed a lot of talent, and the stitching and finish on the part was excellent.

Stay tuned…we are lining up the next judge, firming up the details, and we will be announcing more information on the 2013/2014 IOF competition in the next month or so.

Congratulations Jacob!
