We know the impact of COVID-19 on students, schools, and teachers has been tremendous. In order to help with efforts to maintain learning opportunities and transition to remote instruction, Mastercam is pleased to provide an array of free resources. The following are free to use for online learning initiatives and virtual classroom instruction.
The Quick Part Series includes guided curriculum that takes students through the CAD/CAM/CNC process from project start to a finished part. These tutorials provide instructors a convenient means of teaching students about manufacturing terminology, techniques, and processes while providing valuable experience using the world’s leading CAM software.
Three projects in the Mastercam Quick Part Series are available free of charge. These project-based learning modules provide tutorials for Mastercam Mill, Mastercam Router, and Mastercam Lathe:
Acoustic Amplifier (router project)
In addition to the Quick Part Series of project-based learning modules, from now until December 31, 2020, we are offering several free courses via Mastercam University. These include courses for Mastercam Mill, Mastercam Lathe, and free courses on Mastercam basics and the principles of machining.
Free courses for Mastercam basics:
STEM: Principles of Machining – This course is an excellent primer in STEM concepts in relation to machining. It is a nice course to get familiar with machining terminology and principles.
Mastercam Essentials – This course provides a great overview of Mastercam to familiarize you with the basic functionality and capability of the world’s most widely used CAM software. While this course was created for an older version of Mastercam, the fundamentals are still very useful.
