Khan (qui est ing\u00e9nieur) et son \u00e9quipe ont analys\u00e9 les processus de fabrication et ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 qu&rsquo;ils pouvaient \u00eatre encore plus efficaces. Il a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler avec le consultant Rob Burton, qui a apport\u00e9 des ann\u00e9es d&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience avec le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mastercam.com\/fr\/solutions\/\">logiciel CAO\/FAO <sup>Mastercam\u00ae<\/sup> et l&rsquo;usinage<\/a> pour tout examiner afin de s&rsquo;assurer qu&rsquo;ils avaient optimis\u00e9 les processus autant que possible. <\/p>\n\n<p>Lorsque Burton a \u00e9valu\u00e9 l&rsquo;atelier d&rsquo;APS, il s&rsquo;est d&rsquo;abord pench\u00e9 sur la programmation, puis sur la fabrication, et a constat\u00e9 que le logiciel de CAO\/FAO n&rsquo;\u00e9tait pas utilis\u00e9 \u00e0 son plein potentiel. Ainsi, si vous programmez une famille de pi\u00e8ces, vous pouvez en programmer une, l&rsquo;exporter, la sauvegarder et r\u00e9importer toutes les informations (c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire les parcours d&rsquo;outils) pour les appliquer \u00e0 une pi\u00e8ce de style similaire, r\u00e9associer votre g\u00e9om\u00e9trie et votre programme est termin\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Burton.  <\/p>\n\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Nous avons pris les outils plus puissants qui sont disponibles dans Mastercam et les avons directement appliqu\u00e9s \u00e0 nos strat\u00e9gies de programmation dans nos parcours d&rsquo;outils afin de r\u00e9duire les temps de cycle et d&rsquo;augmenter la mise en \u0153uvre\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Burton. \u00ab\u00a0Nous avons r\u00e9cemment achet\u00e9 et mis en \u0153uvre <sup>SOLIDWORKS\u00ae<\/sup>, qui fonctionne de mani\u00e8re fluide avec Mastercam. Lorsque nous modifions une pi\u00e8ce, Mastercam, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa reconnaissance des modifications avec SOLIDWORKS, reconna\u00eet les changements dans le mod\u00e8le, les met \u00e0 jour \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur de Mastercam et nous demande d&rsquo;accepter ou de rejeter le nouveau parcours d&rsquo;outil, ce qui nous \u00e9vite de devoir revenir en arri\u00e8re et de reprogrammer le mod\u00e8le \u00e0 partir de z\u00e9ro.\u00a0\u00bb   <\/p>\n\n<p>The team can take full advantage of the shop\u2019s 7-axis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mastercam.com\/solutions\/swiss-machining-solutions\/\">Swiss and bar feed machine <\/a>which, according to Burton, reduces set up time by about 70% and increases throughput by roughly 40%. They can switch from a Swiss-style chucker lathe to a fully automated bar feed lathe for short runs and high-volume runs. The machine does all milling and turning, including complex parts, in one operation, freeing up the shop\u2019s five mills and five lathes for other work. According to Burton, all of their spindles are \u201cmaxed out\u201d at 10,000 RPMs and are run \u201cwide open\u201d. Plastics are run at the maximum feed rates possible \u2013 between 400 to 1200 inches-per-minute \u2013 before the materials break down. On steel, the carbon-based material is cut around 600 inches-per-minute with high-performance end mills on the high speed machine. The software\u2019s Dynamic Motion technology, which consists of high speed toolpaths programmed with proprietary algorithms that detect changes in the material as the tool moves through it, permits the tool to be constantly engaged with the material, significantly reducing air cuts and material damage. The tool plows through the material, making the faster speeds possible.<\/p>\n\n<p>An example of this involves a global energy company based in nearby Houston that asked APS to machine parts they struggled to run internally. The part was molded over tin with some Iconel<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> on the end with the rest being PEEK material. \u201cWe were trying to cut Iconel and plastic at the same time, which is extremely difficult to do,\u201d recalled Burton. \u201cWe worked with the customer directly in getting our manufacturing set up. By being able to implement the proper button tooling, we could cut both materials and limit the amount of deflection on the part which was a major problem when cutting from plastic, because all of a sudden, the tool becomes buried in the Iconel. There were several inherent problems with the chatter push off and tools breaking and we were able to eliminate all of those with the Dynamic toolpaths.\u201d Additionally, the team used a feature found in Mastercam 2018 that allows machining along the Z-axis on a lathe in specific increments. Using this strategy, they turned an Iconel section, backed out, ran the Dynamic turning on the Iconel, then went back in on the other segment to machine the plastic out. \u201cAs we developed the tool, we needed to specify different variables in our software in terms of, if a whole diameter is X then you can use tools A, B, and C. So that way, when we populate that information into the window, it knows what tool to select in the background and apply to that part when it generates a toolpath. We already know that part is already loaded in the machine, we know the tool number and it matches across the board. We can take a part that would take somebody maybe half a day to program and literally program it in five minutes. And have the machine running before they even finished the program,\u201d said Burton.      <\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Devis client :  <\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Lorsque nous avons d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 l&rsquo;outil, nous avons d\u00fb sp\u00e9cifier diff\u00e9rentes variables dans notre logiciel en termes de, si un diam\u00e8tre entier est X, alors vous pouvez utiliser les outils A, B et C. Ainsi, lorsque nous introduisons ces informations dans la fen\u00eatre, elle sait quel outil s\u00e9lectionner en arri\u00e8re-plan et appliquer \u00e0 cette pi\u00e8ce lorsqu&rsquo;elle g\u00e9n\u00e8re un parcours d&rsquo;outil. Nous savons d\u00e9j\u00e0 que la pi\u00e8ce est d\u00e9j\u00e0 charg\u00e9e sur l&rsquo;outil, nous connaissons le num\u00e9ro d&rsquo;outil et la correspondance est parfaite. Nous pouvons prendre une pi\u00e8ce qui prendrait une demi-journ\u00e9e \u00e0 programmer et la programmer litt\u00e9ralement en cinq minutes.
