• How to Create Your Masters of CAM Wildest Parts Submission

The challenge is simple. Create a bold, original item using Mastercam that shows off your design and machining skills.

CRITERIA

We will display these parts at trade shows and educational events all over the world. We are looking for eye-catching items that will demonstrate the many impressive and creative things that can be made with Mastercam.

We are not necessarily looking for the most complex part. We are looking for parts to attract attention with their originality and quality. Choose a part that has an outstanding, original design—something that we likely haven’t seen before. Just as importantly, deliver a quality part made with the utmost care and precision.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY

Entries must be postmarked by June 28, 2019.

DIVISIONS

• Secondary: individual (1st, 2nd, 3rd) – open to students at high school level of education
• Postsecondary: individual (1st, 2nd, 3rd) – open to students at college/university level of education
• Teams: group (1st, 2nd, 3rd) – open to groups of students at any level of education; teams participating with SAE, FIRST Robotics, NASA HUNCH, NRL, etc. are encouraged to enter parts in this division
• Professional: individual (1st, 2nd, 3rd) – open to anyone with professional manufacturing experience; instructors are encouraged to enter parts in this division

AWARDS

All entrants (students and instructors) receive a t-shirt at the close of competition.

RULES

• Original part must be programmed using Mastercam.
• All entries must be created between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019.
• Entrant(s) must submit at least one Masters of CAM story about the creation of the part using the Wildest Parts template on www.mastersofcam.com. (Masters of CAM merchandise will be earned for each Wildest Parts story submitted.)
• Part should not be painted in a way that obscures the quality of machining.
• Part must be suitable for display at schools and trade shows; no weapons or weapon replicas will be accepted.
• All entrants receive notification of winners.
• All entries become the property of CNC Software, Inc. and may be used for marketing purposes.
• All entrants must be received by June 30, 2019.
• Please consider shipping requirements and restrictions when planning part size.
• Parts are judged based on the condition in which they are received.

It is advisable to use a trackable delivery method, package parts well to avoid damage, and consider insuring your part against damage during shipment.
