Mastercam 2018 now supports the import of 3D milling tools directly from the Sandvik Coromant CoroPlus® ToolLibrary. The integration of the CoroPlus ToolLibrary allows Mastercam customers to save significant time searching for tools and building 3D assemblies that can be brought directly into Mastercam via the ISO 13399 data format. 

Users build tool assemblies by searching the CoroPlus ToolLibrary and applying attributes such as material, size, type, and type of machining operation needed. The results are pre-filtered to create valid combinations of tool, holder, and adaptive components. These assemblies can then be imported into Mastercam 2018 to save time and effort. As a 3D assembly, users have an accurate model that can be used in Mastercam for visualization, modifying tool projections, and for clearance and collision checking during the CNC programming process.
