Certification Levels
Mastercam Certification™ is a rigorous set of practical tests that demonstrate a programmer's ability to work effectively with CAM software, overcome common issues facing today's shops, and produce high quality finished parts. Programmers completing Mastercam Certification™ carry with them a useful means of quickly proving their skills in an increasingly demanding industry.
Mastercam Certification™ was developed by a board made up of some of the most respected names in industrial CNC training. After developing definitions, standards, and tests that would apply across most industries, the board separated the certification into several components, each focusing on different aspects of manufacturing.
Mastercam Certification Overview™ |
| Within curricula sets there are two testing and Certification levels. The Associate Certification is strictly comprehensive testing based on the latest technologies. The Professional Certification includes the comprehensive testing combined with a practical application component. |
Academic Versions of Certifications |
| The academic versions of Mastercam Certification require passing the same level of rigorous testing and standards as the industrial versions of certification. The academic version is only available from a Mastercam Certified Instructor or authorized test administrator as part of their program. A person who receives this level of certification has also passed the appropriate Mastercam U curriculum as part of their training and certification. All academic tests are administered in a proctored test environment. |
Mastercam Associate Level Certification™ |
The Mastercam Associate Level Certification is a reliable validation of your skills and knowledge in the use of Mastercam software. It is the first benchmark and a useful step toward a Mastercam Professional Level Certification. To achieve Mastercam Associate Level Certification, students must score an 80% or above on the posttest of each online module in the Mastercam University class, and an 80% or above on the online final comprehensive exam. The Mastercam Associate Level Certification is available only online at www.mastercamu.com.
