Why Do You Need Mastercam Certification at Your School?
Mastercam Certification™ will bring more students to your program. It can be used in conjunction with Mastercam University online training courses, giving students the flexibility and skills necessary to pass the certification exam and excel in the workforce. Mastercam University courses are eligible for dual credit programs.
In order to certify your students, you must first become a Mastercam Certified Instructor. This means you have passed rigorous tests showing the depth and breadth of knowledge and experience required to qualify students. It sets a standard for schools, makes students more employable, and helps ensure a well-educated, professional manufacturing industry for the future. Requirements for Mastercam Certified Instructors
- Complete the Mastercam Instructor certification class(Available on Mastercam U)
- Integrate Mastercam Certification curriculum into your program.
- Three letters of recommendation. (Letters should come from employers of past students or advisory committee members in machining trade.)
- Program the practical test part.
- Email your letters of recommendation and zip2go test files to certification@mastercam.com.
Program Recommendations
- Certified Instructor employed on a full-time basis.
- Two school advisory meetings per year.
- School advisory committee approval of shop environment and instructor.
- Number of seats of Mastercam equivalent to students taking class.
