Wildest Part Contest
CNC Software introduced the Wildest Part Contest more than a decade ago to provide teachers with strong incentive for their CAD/CAM students. Judging Considerations
One of the best things about working in education are the stories we hear about students using our software to design and make parts. Students have no fear when it comes to making things in Mastercam. Below are the most important things to us regarding the Wildest Part Contest.
Excellent Display:
In our show booths we have designed a display case just for the Wildest Part Contest. This case travels to the top Educational shows and people from all over the country always spend time looking at the parts inside. Many people attending these shows don't have any idea what CAD/CAM or CNC is and they are always interested to see the parts students make with our software. The opening dimension to the case is 16 inches. To make sure your part will fit in the case and travel to the educational shows with your name on it, we are limiting the size to one cubic foot.
Originality and Complexity:
This is a hard thing to qualify because sometimes simpler is better. This competition is not about the most difficult part. Simple or complex, large or small, the winning part has to be an eye catcher and to do that, it has to be an original design that isn't mainstream, interesting to the eye and made with the care and precision to stand above the competition.
